Eck Echo inaugurates its digital EP series KIPUS with "Curtido" by Ecuadorian producer KAIFO- a solid club-oriented pack that stitches the threads of future dancefloor geographies.

Looking down from his native town of Machachi, 3 kms above the sea, Kaifo discharges a tribal mix of Ecuadorian "bomba" that threatens to flood, disrupt and reimagine perreo club cuts, further paving the roads of Southamerican electronica up-and downwards into the global arena.

KIPUS (or "quipus"- from quechua "knot") - Is an information storage device consisting of wool threads of different colors arranged in knots of different typologies developed by Andean civilisations. Its use and encoding remains clouded in mystery to this day.

Our KIPUS are stored as bits on hardware drive devices residing on distributed server networks across the world. They are encoded in the binary numeral system.
