FANTASIEß is a research-driven album: experiments, studies, discoveries, attempts, new encounters, and evolving working methods. It bridges past and present, blending pop music, serialism, jazz(?), prog rock, spoken word, and electronic collage.

The melancholy and psychedelia typical of Margo Sanda’s music intertwine with violent outbursts that aim to shake the ground and share personal, stormy, contrast-rich visions. A collection of tracks deeply influenced by an encounter with free improvisation, which allowed her to expand, challenge herself, and engage in dialogue with a wide range of musicians from diverse musical backgrounds.

Through this practice, she rediscovered the freedom to explore an emotion she had long lost touch with: anger—so present in the music she listened to as a teenager.
Singing while running or after physical exercise, screaming to overpower drums and distorted guitars, exploring new forms of physical and emotional release. The album was entirely created during her first year at the RMC in Copenhagen, where she developed a cyclical compositional method. She would ask acoustic musicians to improvise over drafts of new tracks, reinterpret finished electronic compositions in acoustic form, or improvise freely.

She recorded everything and then reworked the material on the computer, repeating the process multiple times until reaching a satisfying result.
This is not a passive listening experience: it’s an invitation to tremble alongside the artist. Like rediscovering a drawing made at the age of eight—forgotten energy, like things that, if you don’t look at them today, you may never uncover.
