4 years ago, Portland’s Well Being joined forces with Image Research to release their single “Soft Mood” as part of the ‘Origins’ compilation.
Since then, the output has been quiet. This is no surprise, considering a release from the artist is a seemingly rare event. A slow trickle of singles and EPs has been the artist's MO right from the start, keeping the moniker and process shrouded in mystery and obscurity.
As a longtime friend of the label, murmurs of a release were always on the table, but flickered and faded out as quickly as they began. So when the opportunity presented itself to pin down 2 deep and elusive WB cuts, IR jumped on the opportunity.
‘Enshrined’ circles back to Well Being’s signature fluid, nutrient-rich house sound. Ecologically charged textures and rhythms burst with alchemic levels of precision. Quenching the mind with clouds of euphoric vibration. Out-of-body music that transports and enlightens, falling like cool crystal droplets on warm stone. - HPT
