"Rebound" is the new EP from Zero Crossing Points coming out on katharsis on November 17th, a work that feels both intimate and expansive, drifting between reflection and release. Drawing elements from several genres, the EP ranges from quiet and discrete soundscapes, to vivid blasts of raw emotions. Fragments of voice appear throughout, human yet often transformed, woven together with sweeping synths, bowed strings, digital manipulations, and textures that feel at once fragile and grounded. The result is a sound world that blurs the line between the synthetic and the organic, the remembered and the reimagined. Japanese video game music dances together with musique concrete elements, echoes of sacred music meet screaming metal drones. There is a sense of searching that runs through Rebound - it is music that lingers in the in-between, where distortion becomes tender and introspection turns into motion.
