Texas-based ethereal pop duo Felt Out recently dropped “Fruit Cart,” an electro-acoustic summer anthem whose instrumental armor has levitating qualities. It’s catchy, but in a subtle and harmless fashion. Sung in Auto-Tuned Tamil and inspired by recent family trips to India, the track moves with a soft emotional gravity. The vocals, delivered with angelic calm, offer—or at least create the illusion of—peaceful weightlessness. And sometimes, the illusion is all you need.
