Sirsé is the project of Belgian musician Sophie Schiettekatte, originally from Ghent and now based in Amsterdam.
Her double EP brings together two interconnected bodies of work, composed during different periods and shaped through contrasting creative processes.
The A-side, lullaby for a tree, recorded between Amsterdam and Berlin with cellist Felix Thiemann, drifts into open, cinematic terrain, while the B-side, chiaroscuro, emerges from a solitary, instinctive process, raw and introspective.
All tracks composed and recorded by Sophie Schiettekatte, on harp, voice and electronic effects, with field recordings from Amsterdam and Piemonte.
Tracks 1, 2 & 4 with cello by Felix Thiemann
Mastering by Pietro Caramelli
